A Message from Pen Underwriting on FCA Cloned Businesses

We have been made aware that a known clone of a FCA regulated business working under the title of “William Fountain Insurance Brokers” and/or “Fountain Underwriting” has been purporting to be part of the Arthur J Gallagher group (including Pen Underwriting).

Further details of the cloned unauthorised business can be found on the FCA’s register of unauthorised businesses.

Cloned FCA regulated businesses are fictional brokerages (that do not exist) but have a very similar name to an FCA registered broker in an attempt to misrepresent themselves as a genuine FCA regulated business. We note that the genuine firm, William F Fountain, is not part of the Arthur J Gallagher group, and is an entity with whom we do not have a trading relationship
